You post this like a lot of whites care. I fully support anything that brings the races closer. In fact, i'd say this type of information is exactly what a lot of minorities don't want to hear and it makes them less unique.

This research is pretty cool. The only problem is that the people that need to be convinced that every race is almost exactly the same will never listen to "skience's" proof of anything.

This isn't new, we've known for a long time that when man left africa for the colder, darker european continant, thier skin tones changed in order to compensate for the ice age climate. From what I remember I believe vitamin defeciency was also a major cause for the pigment change.

Yeah, I know. The concept of "race" is pretty much toast anyway. I'm simply a science geek, and it's nice to poke at the resident white supremacists.

Survival of the fittest resulted in the races we see today, but now it's upside down. The least fit get welfare and reproduce, while the most mentally equipped have few children. This trend is not sustainable, unless we accept a greater divide between the "have and the have-nots."
In spite of these differences and how we are institutionally trained to separate and divide races against eachother, common culture and goals CAN unite us if people stop using race tensions to accomplish twisted agendas.
Mexican-Americans should not be accepted as our maids and toilet-scrubbers. Every American should have his/her potential developed, and no race should be put ahead of another. In addition to teaching our children that racism is wrong, we ALSO need to make sure our immigrant pool is similarly educated, and that we aren't integrating an increasingly racist pool of Americans.
I don't think any rational person could support a supremast from any race, because these people would kill "their own kind" if they differ from their narrow point-of-view. However, I'm not for advocating that China promote other races in their society until there is equal representation. What is racist is the notion that America has to consist of an equally balanced population of races, because true Equality and racial tolerance is color blind.

So my friends used to make fun of me because I can barely grow a mustache and have very little chest hair, until I explained that my ancestors built houses to stay warm, and had little need for excess body fur .
