there is this thing people in the field of security scoff at.

I call it the security falacy, IE

THE SECURITY BLANKET

which means just because something makes you feel more secure doesnt mean it offers anything nearing security. If you want true security shoot your self in the ****ing head, that way nothing else can happen to you.

If you want to play the wonderful game of risk management then welcome to the real world. And that real world has NO ****ING RELATIONSHIP TO ANYTHING that you mentioned. I ask you this, how do you think any of the things you mentioned didnt make us any less secure?

Please provide some facts to back it up. And at what costs did that supposed security cost you? or me? or OUR ENTIRE ****ING SOCIETY?

answer me those few riddles.

Didn't cost me anything. Hopefully the only thing being "taken away" are ludicrous social programs that give your lazy neighbor $ and a house while you work your a__ off from 9-5.

Ever hear of invasion of privacy. Don't know about you but I don't want the world to know about my private life. And we all have our secrets. But now its ok for them to hold you with out a lawyer to protect yourself. (if I remember right) So don't know about you, but I think thats crap.

Anyone who thinks there is anything at all left of the concept of "privacy" is sorely deluded.

between the credit and banking industries alone, there is almost nothing about you that can't be found out by someone with the "need to know", and if you're unlucky enough that your name turns up on a criminal investigation someone is going to find out about every last thing you do- just look at the stuff being pulled out of thin air on the Peterson case.

the Patriot act only added to a situation already out of control, because now you don't even have to be guilty to come under suspicion and once you do, they'll dig into everything.

so be good, big brother IS watching.
