Brit Woman GIves Birth on Sidewalk.

Woman gives birth on pavement 'after being refused ambulance'

A young mother gave birth on a pavement outside a hospital after she was told to make her own way there.

Mother-of-three Carmen Blake called her midwife to ask for an ambulance when she went into labour unexpectedly with her fourth child.
But the 27-year-old claims she was refused an ambulance and told to walk the 100m from her house in Leicester to the city's nearby Royal Infirmary.
Socialist healthcare is better than ________?

She lives only 300ft from where she could've gotten care? Why not ask a neighbor for a ride or just hoof it?

I mean, if she waited until the last minutes to call the ambulance she's a moron. If she called early in the process, and just waited around at home for all that time, she's a moron.

I'm sorry but, what about personal responsibility?!?

You can not expect people to exercise "personnal responsibility" in a socialist country.

Sorry but there is no argument here. If the hospital/ambulance refuses you then that system sucks.

Under a state run system they wouldn't be.

You guys should read the article; how is someone supposed to call ahead of time when this is what happened:

when she went into labour unexpectedly
Calling a pregnant woman a moron for not thinking clearly when going into labor... seriously. What the **** is wrong with you people.
