Airsoft anyone?

Remember the photo of Czech airsofters dressing as US Army Rangers in class A's? I can post it if you don't remember.

Well, here's a gallery of Poles dressing as US Marines (one with U.S. Navy jump wings) and then running all around Europe as 24th MEU (SOC).

Well they look like total deusche bags in those uniforms, I'll give them that. It doesn't really bother me at this point, it's what's in the uniform that counts. I see people dressed up as all sorts of military related **** at Halloween (although I will never frown on a camo skirt and fishnets) and get a kick out of it. Like the above said, it's flattering to know people might fantasize about what you really are.

Right, but it's a totally different thing to represent them in public. That's huge.

The ones that wear Navy jump wings typically earn them. It's basically a badge that separates the Marine/Navy officers that once attended Army BAC because they could (the five jump chumps) from those that have at least 10 jumps. If you have less than 10 jumps you're only authorized basic Army wings. If you rate HALO in the Navy/Marines you get an ASI-type rating on paper to accompany your gold wings. This is one of the reasons Force Recon can be recognized by the additional "bubble" badge.

Personally, I never understood the need for seperate wings for the other branches in the same U.S. Military. The Navy wings are exactly the same as Honduran Jump Wings. Not sure which had them first but it's pretty lame if you ask me. Old Platoon Sergeant was a Honduran Jump Master and wore the wings as one of his foreign awards.

I thought they were only doing this while they played airsoft. If they're wearing this **** out in public they should have their asses beat which wouldn't be much of a challenge.
