Strut bar worth buying?
I am planning to buy a front Strut bar soon, but can't make up my mind. One of the bigger reasons is that it seems a lot of 2wd cars do this mod and says that it helps a lot. However, i haven't seen an EVO or Impreza based model with one.
Would the Strut bar be beneficial even with AWD?
Also, Is the Strut bar worth buying even on the stock shocks?
Thanks!

What does the number of wheels driving the car have to do with chassis stiffness? If you are looking for handling improvements, I'd do the rear swaybar first.
I have this one on mine:

Swaybar is an actual suspension component though and it will make a much bigger difference than any brace or tie bar.
A strut bar keeps the suspension from flexing the chassis when under load, which is a good thing, but it won't affect the handling to the degree that you will shave a few tenths off your lap time at the track, and certainly can't possibly cause enough change to move from understeer (stock) to oversteer. Swaybars can completely change the behavior of these cars, and the stock rear swaybar for most years is pretty small. With a heavy bar, you can actually achieve oversteer (which you also don't want).

I have a front and rear strut bar and it makes all the difference when tight turns. Drive down the street and move ur steering wheel back and fourth and your body goes along for the ride. With the struts, none of that.

?? The front struts experience the most load during initial cornering. Since the purpose of a STB is to reduce flex so that your suspension maintains better alignment under load, the front one is more important since those are the wheels that are steering.

I have a front strut brace and as soon as I put it on I noticed a huge difference... Turn in got a lot more aggressive plan on getting sway bars and rear brace... I would recommend buying one definitely worth it
