2010 impreza>> lowering springs..?
So I have a 10' impreza 2.5 and I was thinking about getting some coilovers at first but my friend told me that the ride is alot nicer with lower springs..? I want to drop it maybe 2 inches but still ride soft. Looking for a mean stance. Any suggestions on what brand or the debate of coilovers and lowering spring difference? All input helps. Thanks guys.

When I first bought my STi 08 I too wanted a mean stance that looks dumped! (HELLA FLUSH) I bought Tein S. Techs and honestly. SPRINGS ARE NOT COOL. Invest in coilovers. You can control the dampering on the coilovers but springs have a spring rate that are unchanged. Plus, springs can not drop you 2 inches, only coilovers can.
Mean stance + 2 inch dump = COILOVERS
Personally, I'm looking into Tein Mono Flex Coilovers... but there bank ($2100) ):
Hopefully this helped you

This is stock height

This is track height

Note: don't mind the reverse rake, my front struts are inverted, so I can use the camber plates as caster plates.

I don't know what their definition of low, but I think that is descent enough.

That is a very wise choice sir! Just one thing to note is that the locking ring can get jammed or seized on occasion on these cheaper coilovers, or so I hear, but I haven't had that issue.
I had a set coilovers and gated the ride, the city I live in os littered with potholed. I swapped them for a set of prodrives springs and kyb gr2 struts. I am much happier with the ride and the handeling difference is minimal. If you want a flush look you are going to have to get bigger wheels.

those springs are easily known as the worst spring available for the 3g. ive never read a good thing about them. anybody have any personal experience with RCE black spring, epic springs or swift springs.
