WRX Rotors on a 2.2 L

I've done a little searching (still doing more) but I've seen that WRX rotors will bolt up to my L's hubs. Is this a good idea? Bigger disc area = bigger braking surface? If the WRX don't fit, I'll probably end up getting Brembo CD rotors. I drive daily on a steep and twisty road, so I think the CD rotors might be of benefit. Thanks!

What year 2.2? The older 2.2's will probably need new calipers, along with the new caliper brackets to fit the rotors. I had to swap basically the whole caliper/caliperbracket/pad/disc assembly for WRX stuff on my 1.8, but it was very much worth it. You do need large enough wheels too for the rotors to fit. (16")

I have a 96'. My wheels are 15" though, so not worth it.

sorry to revive an old thread but.... i went to '96 legacy gt calipers/rotors on my 97 L about 5 years ago and love them. still using the stock caliper bracket, the rotor(10.2" vs 10.9") just clears the bracket and the caliper is damn close to the stock 15" 5 spoke rims. but if you do find '96 calipers make sure they are 5/96(i think) and on. they changed the pad design and im having probs getting decent cheap pads w/ the early design.

are the 97 legacy gt's available w/o abs? might have to take a look and see....
