unlike other things, size of a RSB matters more than quality. Getting a 20 or 22mm RSB won't cost much more than a WRX bar, and if you own a pre-'02 car it might not work anyway. I'd recommend saving for a little bit and getting a Whiteline adjustable 18-22mm bar, usually can be found under $150 new, and used ones pop up fro time to time.

I believe that you can use the WRX 20mm swaybar on the older model GC cars. Also I know some GC car owners are using the Forester 21mm (or 22mm, cannot remember) because they do not want to constantly adjust their settings that often.

I know that the factory swaybars are not all that expensive either. I believe that you can get bushings and bar for like less than 100 dollars.

Hmmm, I will have to look into that... 20mm WRX SBs might be considered factory stock by the SCCA... hehe. At the very least they will LOOK like it... which means it might go unnoticed in tech.

Yeah I have a friend with a WRX wagon that put on a WRX sedan swaybar and he passed tech without getting caught for the swaybar because it looks like stock.

I dont recomend spending $150 on a rear swaybar on a Gc8 when the 20mm WRX sedan rear bar for <$50 works great.

You guys are right about the cost issue, but for me personally I'd spend the extra money for adjustability.

Kostamojen - What did you do about mounting? Bustings and what not. It's not a direct fit on a GC6 is it?

You need the WRX bushings that match the bar, but the rest of the hardare is the same.

Does someone offer an aftermarket HD bushing/mounting bracket kit for the WRX bar? Or will I need to get WRX bushings from my dealer?

If you buy a new bar it will come with bushngs. If you buy it used, make sure you ask for them, otherwise, yes, they are a dealer item.

Heavy duty brackets and sway bar links are available from several companies. I am running the Whiteline KLC26 solid aluminum endlinks and am very happy (although I'm sure most other solid endlinks work just as well). Their heavy duty mounts work great too, and are less than factory replacements.
