Would like to install 22mm sway bars.

I've got a stage 2 WRX. I would like to get sway bars (stabilizer bar, anti roll bar) for the car. I have stock struts with prodrive springs installed, and front strut bar. I was thinking about getting cusco 22mm F&R sways with kartboy F&R endlinks. Would that work fine with the struts&prodrive springs. I don't do auto x, only occasional drag strip tirp. This is my daily driver. Any one running 22mm cusco sways? Is it worth it. Would 25mm sways be too much?

If you're lowered why not do 24mm in the back and maybe 26 in the front?

Sorry to have chimed in so late, your original post being back in July and such. I run 22mm Cusco swaybars front and rear on my 04 STi. It is a pretty much a daily driver and competes once a month in the STU class at autocross. The 22mm swaybar is a conservative size and works well with a daily driven car. The more hardcore autocrosser runs substantially larger bars, particularly the fronts. I ran a whole season in STU with a stock suspension STi, and generally was three to four seconds off the class leading RX8. Its now nearing the end of my second season competing and the car is still daily driven running the 22mm swaybars, and Prodrive springs with Group N topmounts, with the time difference to about a second off of the same RX8. So the equipment upgrades was quite welcome. Its just a matter of what you want out of your car when legitimzing upgrades. I am quite happy with my Cusco 22mm swaybars.

I ran dual 27s without a problem. 24 is certainly not too much. I am a big fan of runing the same front and rear for a more neutral balance

It really depends on your driving style and what you like. Grab an adjustable rear sway bar. My set-up on my GC chassis is 19mm and 20mm rear and I can actually get the rear out. I am sure there are a few other things that might contribute to how it handles. Trial and error.

+1 to both Charles and Dark, I just installed some sways on my car and did both front and rear and love how the car is much more neutral. Turns that I would be more conservative on, are now taken with absolute confidence I love'em!

Should mention tire pressure also goes into play. Yup.

Hugely...especially on the track. Tire pressure makes a massive difference if its wrong. On track, a difference of 4-5 psi can be like night and day. When you get good, you can tell 1-2 PSI differences

^Do you really need an alignment after installing sways? I've got 21 cusco front and 22mm cusco rear with kartboys, and never did alignment after installing the sways. Can anyone clarify this.

No.

Alignment shops will tell you too but they make money that way. I did a BUNCH of research into it and could find no reason to have to redo your alignment. You may want to change it after you see how the sways effect your handling but don't HAVE to. It doesn't change it.
