Question Why do I keep breaking sway bar mounting brackets?

So about a year and a half ago I broke the driver side rear sway bar mounting bracket. No big deal, I went to the dealership and got a new one for 30 bucks and put it on. Fast forward 1.5 years and now the same bracket broke the same way it did last time. I can't imagine that this is normal?!?!? It's a steel bracket. And I would think the side that never got replaced would be the next one to go not the one that was pretty brand new.....

What would do this? Anyone have this happen to them?

Thanks,

Ryan

do you have an aftermarket sway bar? that causes more tension in the rear and the stock mounts arent designed for. thats why they make aftermarket heavy duty mounting brackets. whiteline makes em and thee progress and perrin sway bar kits come with them.
cuscos are known to break the brackets n flip

Holy cow I didn't even think of that. I have a cusco rear bar, and now that I think about it it didn't come with it's own brackets. I just thought it was strange that it was the same bracket and not the other side.

Thanks!
