What springs for my 2002 wrx?
What would you say is the best spring set up for what I want out of my car.
I drive a 2002 wrx and use it as a daily drive and soon to be auto x car on the weekends. How the spring looks is of no concern to me. Just want the performance aspect. I know that I won't see any significant change in performance but with front and rear sway bars I figured a drop and stiffer springs may help. I am also concerned about the stock struts and don't want to wear them out. I am willing to spend around at most 250 ish for the springs. Thanks for your help!

8K/6K or around that, since you have a heavier chassis and all. Your gf is going to hate it though.

Yes that is the spring rate.
however your stock struts will FAIL by the end of the season running those rates. I would suggest some sort of aftermarket strut as well, even if it's just some AGXs that you can stiffen when you get to the autox and loosen when you are ready to go home.
I run 12kg/10kg on zero-2r's and I think I've rattled out two teeth so far. good thing it's a dedicated autox car.
they're still not stiff enough, I hope to get 14/12 for next year so I can get my 275s w/o fender rubbing.

Springs and Coilovers are more or less trial and error. Just ride along with people and see what you like. Also good to give a shop a call. They can help you find a combination that'll best suit your needs. I don't really know much about springs, but if you are interested in coilovers, I can give you an idea on what to look for.
