type flex: ride height adjustable, independent of spring pre-load.
super street: adjusting ride height affects spring pre-load.
I have super streets on my wagon, only for street use, no track no auto-x. For me, type flex would be too complicated to dial in.

The SS is most certainly compatible with the EDFC system, so long as you get the SS with pillowballs (they also offer SS without pillowball mounts).
