What is the best coilovers to get?
I was wondering what is the best set of coilovers to get for my 03 wrx?. I want to be able to lower it more than 2 inches (drop till I scrape) but I do not want that much of a jerk, but I also want them to last also (do not want to change them in a couple of years). I live in Pennsylvania so my main roads are like everyone elses back roads (crap). Right now I have a set of MAtrix coil over kits on that can lower it 0 - 4 inches and I have it maxed out and believe it or not it rides pretty much like stock, just a little stiffer though. I do not drive it much so I am not worried about my struts going too too fast, atleast before I buy the coilovers, TIA...

Well if ride quality is a concern, the HKS Suspension is probably the best.
I hear the H&R Coilovers and DMS 40's are pretty good for street driving as well, being tuned with that in mind.

I would never put Tein or JIC in the "Top" category. I would though put them in the top of this list for this particular application.
More like budget priced units and weekend racer hardware if anything.
HKS, Ohlins, Bilstien, Koni, DMS, are all better suited to "Top" categories.

steve, i heard someone talking about you having DMS 50s at some point. were they 40s or did you also have 50s at some point? oh, and how the hell have you been man?!?!
JIC FLT-A2 are very very good from what i hear. They are the same if not better than Tein Flex. But the coilover lacks technology and design to make it perform up to the JIC standards. The JIC coil over has adjustable height, seperate rebound and compression adjustments, nitrogen gas charge, and adjustable camber. The FLTA2 also uses a inverted Monotube shock inside which is far superior to Teins twin tube design. The Twin Tube is much cheaper to manufacturer and ride quality and performance is effected.
