Suspension tuning
Where can you go to get a proven suspension setup/tune for the WRX? I know there are plenty of shops that will install springs/struts and stuff, and many people do this in their own garages. But, is there a way or system to get a known STi or autocross suspension setup that's not just some guy saying "I did this at home and I swear it gets rid of all understeer!"

Probably one of the best sorted suspension upgrades available is as close as your dealer (ofcourse they may not have the best price on it)- it's the STi/SPT suspension setup. This is the spring/strut setup that comes on the STi v7 RA. Reasonable spring rates, strong well match struts, the only thing it's missing is the STi strut tops. This is a can do suspension, well suited for autox, rallyx, track day and plenty comfortable for daily driving.

Good question, Kenn. There's a lot of nonsense and voodoo out there, and guys who have only tried one suspension saying that "It's the best."
The SPT (STi) kit is the best option available right now as a set-and-forget, great handling with daily driver comfort setup. It's the basic no-brainer. It will keep up with coilover-shod cars until the speed bumps and rough stuff, where the only guy beside you will be the DMS guy.
The SPT kit was tested on the car, and takes into account the handling characteristics, weight transfer, etc. No other kit has been as thoroughly tested on the WRX.

according to bestmotoring video's, the spec-C is a completely
new machine compared to the older RA's. you should get spec C components.
older RA vs spec-C on the track is like 2 different cars racing.
spec-C rids almost all understeer whereas RA still has it.
not as bad as our wrx...

There is a place down here called West End Alignment. The guys name is Daren and he has been setting up racecars for a long time. He can dial your WRX in to track or auto-x specifications no problem. This dude is in Gardena, I don’t know how often you come to L.A. but you asked.
