All preference. If you have an amazing auto cross set up (my friend has a great one), then you may not want to daily drive your car anymore. His car is so bumpy and noisy that it gives him a head ache to drive it everyday. All though, Auto Cross comes around and he falls in love again.

As for the best set up for an MY02, not sure.

I can already see people saying something like: KYB AGX + Koni Yellows, or Tein SS, or... Cusco Zero 2's I think?

I don't know really. But, tires are a must. Tires tires tires. Biggest upgrade in handling has got to be the rubber. S03's all the way. Best tires I've ever driven any car on.

Stock everything will get you in a better class.

But, I say just for bang for the buck.

Eibach pro-kit springs
Koni Yellows
Whiteline Rear Sway + End Links
Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings
Yokohama AVS ES 100 Tires (widest you can fit on your rims)
Kartboy Short Shifter and Bushings
Whiteline ALK (though it'll put you in some weird class)

ALK will put you into a high performance class, you'll be pitted against Porsches, Ferraris, Lambos, any high end car like that.

The steering rack bushings alone will put you into Street Mod or another modified class. These bushings are going to be legal for STX but not till next season. They do make a great difference in the steering but are not worth getting bumped into mod class.
