Subaru brakes....Weaksauce?
I have an 01 gc8. Is it just me or do the Subaru brakes feel weak compared to other cars?
Maybe not necessarily weak but just the feel of the pedal is not very sporty. The stoping is good its just the feel of the pedal.
my brake setup is:
akebono pads and SS lines.
I've driven stock wrx and wrx's with pads and lines.
I have yet to feel the STI brakes but i it would imagine they feel nicer for the money.

It's the brake booster design. Have you noticed how it's really low effort at first and firms up as the pedal travels? You can put an older, single-stage booster on the car toreduce the initial gain, but that's a severe pita.
