Struts for cars lowered 2" or more
I own a 96 impreza and am looking to replace my stock struts (they finally blew). I am running skunk 2s set at a little over 2" drop (2 finger gap up front 1 in the rear). What I need is a strut that will work with this severe of a drop since the strut will be through a lot of it's travel due to the stance of the car. Will the KYB AGX work for this application? If not can you recommend moderately priced strut that will? I am mostly looking for durability over ride quality.

KYBs will last longer than stock for sure at that drop, but that's still lower than they are meant for. Raise it up to 1" front, 1.2" rear and you'll be in the sweet spot for handling anyway. If you want to keep the 2" drop you'll have to find struts that are meant for coilovers with a lot of lowering, and those are hard to come by without buying the coils too.
