cusco is the only v-brace i have seen, do other companies make them or will the 'v' work with other bars?

i agree that a front strut isnt needed, although it does make the engine bay look nicer. if you want to have a strut that does something invest it on the rear. the firewall in the front is stiff enough, its the rear thats a little soft.
