i'm looking at upgrading the suspension on my '03 WRX in stages, since i can't do it all at once. eventually, i'm going to be running something along the lines of the DMS 50mm street coilover kit, Tein coilovers, or Leda coilovers from ScoobySport UK. since all of these kits are pretty pricey, i've been looking at doing some intermediate upgrades, particularly strut tower bars. is anyone out there running either the STi or Cusco strut tower bars? do they help with body roll? would you reccomend either one? i'm curious because of the differance in price between the two despite similar construction and the fact that i don't like the STi pink. oh, and does anyone know if these will fit arround an oversise TMIC? i haven't seen any pictures of them mounted in the car. thanks.

 

Strut tower bars aren't really going to help you on your stock suspension. I would start out with a rear sway bar and maybe endlinks first. Then add the strut bars after you've gotten your coilovers. I'm running Cusco Zero 2R coilovers with Cusco front/rear strut bars, Cusco rear sway, and Perrin endlinks. The car is flat and neutral now. As for the front strut bar clearing TMIC's, I'm pretty sure that it will clear the TXS and Vishnu one's. Not sure about the others though.

how is the quality of the Cusco components? i'm looking at a package offered by Mauro Motorsports that includes the Cusco front and rear sway bars (21mm front, 22mm rear), perrin end links, and the Cusco strut bars. i haven't seen them in person anywhere, and i'm pretty picky about what sort of components i'll put on my vehicles.
