Once you've upgraded the rest of your suspension, strut bars can have a small effect. But sway bars cost about the same and change your cars handling much more. That's the first thing to do if you like to drive your car hard.

If you have a wagon, the rear strut bar would prove benificial. My suspension is fairly well modded and I finally added a front strut bar after everything else...I could tell the difference, but it was slight. On a less modded car, front strut bars are bling.

I am going with cusco struts a rear sway bar. In my opinion they are the best.

Cusco's are nice. I have the rear bar. since I have a GC they made a differance but the new age wrx is a lot stiffer body.

What is the dofference between the aftermarket strut bars? I mean what seprates a Cusco from a WHitel RSB? Is it the material they use that differs between bars? I'm thinking of getting a RSB but I don't how to tell which bar is better than another?

Thanks,

Jason

Nothing but personal preference and/or bling factor, really.

I'm glad someone else already said that the front strut bars don't do too much. From my understanding the struts are located so close to the rear of the engine bay (firewall) of the car that it doesn't effect handling too much. The rear wall of the engine bay itself keeps the struts rigid. The front strut bars would do more if the struts we located further away into the engine bay.

This is just infomation that I have been told so I am passing it on.

My suspension is fairly heavily modded and I could tell the difference when I insalled mine.
A less heavily modded suspension would not see as much effect.
It might be a 'last thing' to add, if you are so inclined.

i'd agree with this. my suspension seup is pretty sorted, and i just bolted on the front strut bar this weekend. it didn't make dramatic changes, but it was noticable (i drove the car in the morning before putting it on, and then again in the evening afterwards).

the big differance between brands such as cusco and whiteline is price and quality. i personally really like cusco parts because they are very wel made, and well finished. they cost a little more, but i'm willing to spend the money on a quality part. don't get me wrong, i'm not knocking whiteline (i have their ALK on my car), it's just that given the choice, i'd take Cusco over whiteline. oh yeah, and i don't like the yellow whiteline uses on their products

i didn't realize that they'd abandoned that ugly yellow color on their parts. i must admit though, i am a bit taken with "Cusco Blue."

...Yeah, I have to admit that the cusco blue is purdy and does look good...but...
I kinda like the fact that I can usually price 3 Whiteline products for the price of 2 Cusco's, though.

my wagon too had a whiteline rear tower bar and i noticed it pretty quickly. didn't notice my front one much.

i went with a perrin and (forgot) mix of swaybars. they made an immediate improvement in feel...i think they may have raised the car a little. of course change the endlinks when you do this. b
