stock sti suspension
stock sti suspension
I searched through this forum and NASIOC as well and was unable to find any results that were pertinant. My question is, will a stock '04 STI suspension fit on my 95 GC8 with little to no modification (i'm assuming so) , and if so, will this offer any sort of performance increase?
I've noticed the common question asked to posters is "what do you want to do?". Firstly, i'd love my car to not feel like a sail boat when taking corners. Secondly, i'd like something that's a little more "responsive" for an occasional auto-x.
Thanks.

Not quite. The fronts should be okay, but the rear strut tops are different. They have a different stud pattern for bolting to the unibody. Also, I'm not 100% sure the rear hubs will bolt to the struts properly as the STi uses R180 hubs as part of the transimission package. Chances are the hubs are okay though. What you could do is just use the struts with different springs and STi GC strut mounts (which are better than take-off STi strut mounts anyway).

Also, for about the same price, you can get older STi strut/spring combos that work perfectly for your car. The '04 cars are much heavier than your 95 and would feel a bit oversprung and overdamped.
