still massive under steer...
so after a huge rear whiteline sway on my wagon on the fully stiffened setting, tein flex and some grippy re070's, i till have some intense understeer. i have the co's adjusted pretty evenly (no saggy butt) about 14.5" hub-center all around, and it seemed to help having the rears stiffer than the fronts dampening wise. I have an 05 wagon. any suggestions?
oh and i used to be on some CRAPPY lowering springs and it handled better. with a front sway as well. but the rear sway usually helps eliminate the under steer on the wags so i dont get it!!

Accelerate your corner entry brake later and brake harder. I wouldn't suggest this without a matched FSB. Adding the FSB may actually help you maintain your camber upon turn in. It sounds counter intuitive, but you really need to transfer the weight forward while braking.

it does feel like the front is lifting off at entry, that makes complete sense.
it was just weird that when i first bought this rsb it made the biggest difference, and the front sway made it so i didnt have over steer.
i do have my front plates set at between 1-1.5* negative, and at my last track day at t-hill it was purely disastrous. just plowing and skidding every turn... embarrassing lol
so breaking at lets say the 2 marker, maybe 2.5 due to stock brakes, harder, and not so much on the gas early, only steady will help keep the front end down? and some more grip?
its strange because when i had a different set of co's i didnt have this problem, with the same tires and sway...

If your plowing regularly, you're past the slip angle of your tires. A larger front sway will enable you carry the higher corner entry speed providing more bite to the outside tire where you need it. Now if your coming in too hot then you'll have to work on threshold braking. It's a balancing act. My wagon was set up with a 27mmrsb 22mmfsb. As auto xers know trail braking goes a long way to get that back end around. If your front corners are all sloppy trail braking can be a challenge.
Hey, so man thats weird. i have an 05 wagon with tien flex, whiteline 24 mm front sway and endlinks and 24mm rear sway, strut bars front and rear on dunlop star spec rubber. front sway bar set to max and rear set to middle, and man i oversteer if anything. my camber is -2.0 up front and -1.5 in the rear. what worked for me in getting oversteer is i SOFTENED the rear ups so the front stays flat and the rear end flexs out.
When I was at the t.hill. I messed with my dampning pretty much all day and when I adj. the front to a stiffer setting then the rear it didn't understeer as much. I have helix (8f/6r) coilovers/ Perrin rsb/ and ran slicks 17x8 and kdw2 17x9/ upgraded pads and lines. Camber was set at 2.8f and 2.5ish in the rear?! I think, or close to that.
I'm not a track racer by any means aha but just thought I'd share my findings at the track since I have a wagon as well. Was suprised at the amount of "oversteer" that I was doing. Pretty sure my car is no where near set-up what it's supposed to be aha :/ but it gets the job done. Just a little help from a friend that drives a gc at autoX.

well
when in doubt do a huge weight transfer haha
^ this statement will end up with you spinning out probably
you do the finish flick and your rear end will come around no matter how bad you are understeering. let off on entry

i know to guage them when theyre hot, i run hot 32psi most every track day, seems to be a happy medium to not get overly eated and slippery.
last time i installed the fsb i had to make adjustments becasue the understeer came back slightly. would a left rear blown co have anything to do with it? it spewed a bunch of fluid on my way up to the track at my last event :/
and driftsquirtle... when you say u softened the rears, do u mean turned it left? ive found that ive had the best handling abilities with this setup with the rears stiffer than the fronts... stiffer meaning the ***** turned more right. (righty tighty)

I don't have coilovers, but I do have Konis, I usually run the fronts a bit stiffer than the rear. On my wagon the same thing fronts stiffer than the rear. Tire pressures I ran 36front 32rear.
