Anybody using the pillow ball STi rear trailing arms with the adjustable Whiteline lateral links, rather than the STi Lateral links?
Is it worth it to have only one pillow ball joint per side in the rear suspension?

it depends. if you're just looking to stiffen up the feel of the rear suspension, then i'd go for the STi lateral links and their full pillowball setup. however, if you're looking to adjust camber and toe settings with the rear lateral links, then the whitelines make sense. for a street car, you'll probably only notice a slight differance between the hard urethane bushings and the pillowballs.

I was planning on getting the adjustable Whiteline lateral links to adjust the rear camber. Seems like a good time to upgrade the trailing arms also.

i would agree. i wish i'd bought the rear trailing arms and installed them at the same time as i did the rear lateral links. you need to get the rear end aligned anyway, so its a good time to do both is you have the $$$ and time.

When I put the Whiteline lateral links in the wagon, I emailed Whiteline asking why they did not sell a trailing arm. They indicated that changing the trailing arm did almost nothing for the WRX and it did not make sense for them to engineer a part that would have little demand. As sgd stated, they do make replacement bushings for the stock arm and that is what they suggested I do if I felt I *really* needed to change something out.
