Both TEIN and JIC are good coilover systems. TEIN Flex is closer to ride quality of the stock STi, as it offers softer springs then other models (280/280). The Type RA is a relatively higher-end product and it is harsher (448/336). The JIC FLTA-2 is in the middle of the two in terms of harshness and spring rates (393/281).
TEIN Flex and now the Super Street are both compatble with EDFC which may be nice for some in making adjustments from within the car.
To determine the best combination of components in chassis modifications, the first thing to determine is the purpose. If purpose is primarily spirited street performance, Type Flex is probably the better choice.
