STi Pinks are NOT stock on the STi. They are optional equipment offered by Subaru. They are a good mild upgrade for your suspension, good for a DD. They don't lower the car very much, and have stiffer spring rates.

It depends on which Tein springs you're talking about (h-tech, s-tech, etc), but the pinks won't lower the car as much as any of the Tein's. Spring rates depend on the Tein spring.

My friend has STI pinks on his WRX. He's also had the tien. In his opinion
PINX>TIEN

Hope that answered your question.

I have JDM STi pinks over KYB AGX struts on my '02. With the dampers on softest, it feels fine as a daily driver - a little more taut, but without crashing over bumps etc. With the dampers on stiffest - which I do for auto-x, the ride gets noticeably harsher although nowhere in the realms of the serious CO gear.

As others mentioned, the drop is not much. Normally, the WRX appears to ride high compared to other cars. With the pinks, the gap looks 'normal' rather than lowered. I'm fine with this because it is both a DD and a ski-trip vehicle so I didn't want anything too crazy.

Alright....so asking for recommendation on spring strut combo once again....Heard lots of different things regarding which comb for which application, but I'm mostly a DD ('04 WRX Wagon) who will be making weekend runs up to Tahoe from San Jose...I'm trying to get more into RallyX and would like to hit up some AutoX as well....recommendations for a set for all these applications?

I believe the STI pinks gives you a .4 inch drop overall.

Depends on which model: There are USDM Pinks shipped through the dealers. There are also JDM STi Pinks which you can buy online and ship from Japan. The drop/spring rate also varied depending on the year that the spring was designed for. I found a good www while researching the diffs. Some guy has a page with all of the different springs, rates, and drops. If I can find it again, I'll put a link in.

Does anyone have a thread for spring rates for stock 04 WRX and 04 STI springs vs Eihback Pro Kits for WRX? Also do Stock 05 Sti Springs and shocks fit an 04 WRX.

I had this question a little while ago but after seeing and driving my friend's '04 WRX I'm on the Prodrive bandwagon. Awesome handling, comfortable to drive, you can still use the stock struts and nice drop without being too low.
