STI Replica Rear Stuct Bar + Wagon

Searched this forum and the "other" forum for information on the STI Replica Rear Suct Bar and wagon fitment. Anyhow my questions is how will this bar fit in the wagon and how much and which part of the interior do I have to cut to make it work. I am considering this bar vs the whiteline wagon bar ($50 vs $100) If it work and don't have cut up too much of interior I will definely choose the replica bar.

If you look at the the trunk in the wagon you will notice there are covers over the area where the Strut top mounts are located. Remove the covers and the top mounts will be exposed. You will have to cut a small square shape in the material just before the cover (depending on the Strut bars design) to allow the BAR to go from one tower to the other.

hey i have trouble.. i am tryin to install a cusco rear strut also into my wrx sedan.. but. i cant find the top mounts. its all covered up my the inside metal.. how can i cut through metal??? wat kind of tool shuld i get??

You remove the top 3 12mm nuts and put the bar over the metal covers. However, I usually just trash them as they do nothing but add weight and make it more difficult to install the bar.

I know I have to cut some part of the interior and I know where it goes. But I really want to know HOW MUCH do i need to cut. Say for the whiteline wagon bar it requires to cut very minimal amount verus their Sedan bar. Guess i will find out at Gruppe-S tomorrow.
