Man, I just realized that when the image resolution exceeds my browser screen width, all text scrolls off the edge for every reply on the page - hard to read. I'll have to keep that in mind when I post pics...

Nice car, BIG WRX. Don't listen to people that bash it.
I am of the belief that if you're going to upgrade the fronts, the rears should be done too, but hey you can always do that later on. (Not a lot of big brake kits include realistic rear upgrades, though. Kind of dumb...)
Out of curiosity, where'd you find those wheels and how much did they cost you?

Bubb Rubb...Wow what a piece of work...did you see how he ripped out onto the street, and across lanes in his old Supra like a drunken half-blind granny on speed?
But anyway, a good econonical option for the rear brakes is to just convert to the rear ventilated disc setup from the Legacy (sorry I'm a little drunk and don't have the exact year in my marinated brain right now).

One up that! loL!They are very close, but not identical to the CE28's.
Just ask Bubb Rubb. His woman, Little Sis, will tell you that I do it for decoration! Daz all...decoration!

hey guy
i'm about to get the brembo sti setup
the vendor says it only comes with caliper, what other hardware might i need for installation for the front and rear.. can i use my stock brake bolts, plates for the brembo? what about rotors? i want to get the biggest rotor i can get to go with the brembo as well..
i heard there are some issue about the rear fitment for the gold brembo.. how can i get this setup to work for the rear as well.. its for 2002 wrx wagon

To install the fronts on your car you will need:
1. A set of the limited number of wheels that can accomodate these calipers. The STi Brembo calipers are some of the widest ones available and have serious spoke clearance issues. Obviously GDB wheels will work and the beautiful S202 wheels like BAD-WRX (hes not kidding about their rarity either) has will work too.
2. Loaded caliper. Meaning caliper + pads + clips + pins + shims.
3. 326x30mm rotors specific to this setup. Barring a mm extra in width or diameter, this is your only rotor choice(barring some as yet unseen adapter.) The diameter and thickness requirements are cast into the caliper body.
4. Removal or bending of your stock front dust shield. Easy.
To install the rears on your car you will need:
1. An act of Congress.
2. Contact SPDTuning service, Mike can get you a complete setup to install on the rear of your car but he will not mod your set or rotors. He machines the rear rotors to work on the rear of R160 equipped cars. Long and short, get it from him or youre out of luck. Or you could replace basically the entire underpinnings of your car from the motor back.
k.
