Question STi 4 way adjustable struts/springs

I'm considering very strongly upgrading to the STi 4way strut/spring set up. Has anyone had any experiance with these babys yet +/- ?

Currently I running the Tein HA's. For me even on the softest damping setting (14) it's still to harsh for everyday non-aggressive driving. Now just for fun I set it to (1) which is the stiffest setting. Less bouncy but of cource a lot harder ride.

Anyway just wondering if I should really spend that much more for the STi setup...plan on doing some track time and maybe some auto-x. Another thing on the Tein's...don't think you can rally-x on them. Not sure about the STi?

Thanks,

Lowball

MMmmmm, I'd be willing to help with the install. I'd also really like to ride in it when it's done. PM or email me when they arrive and we can set up a time and place for the install. You should be VERY excited, you just bought one of, if not THE, most sought after suspension setups for the WRX!!!!

I am VERY excited and a few (couple) thousand lighter...LOL

Well hopelfully I can sell my current Tein setup to help pay off mister credit card...credit cards are the devil! LOL

I could use the help since I plan on doing it myself. I didn't install my Tein setup but I am planning on doing the STi's. Talked to one guy and he said the main tool I may need is a spring compressor. Guess I'll see...

You won't need a spring compressor. I've replaced two of my shocks so i should know. If anything, we can use my 230 lbs. to compress the sucker... hehe jk.

Oh, and yes credit cards are the devil... I'm in the process of digging myself out of the hole as well. It sucks the big one.

This may be a stupid question but when you say shocks are you talking about struts & springs or just a shock? When I had a VW Bug it was just called shocks, but I thought the Subaru just had struts and springs.

Just wondering.

There is a spring and a strut and I just replaced the two rear struts (used the same springs) because they got bent in an incident of midair mayhem.
