STI 4 POT question?
STI 4 POT question?
I 've heard that the 300ZX front pads will fit on a STi 4 POT calipers, I need more info, which year 300ZX, any other mods are require to fit the 300ZX pads on a Subaru 4 POT caliper? or direct replacement? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
I thought Nissan made the 4 pots for Subaru, and the only differences between the 300ZX 4 pots and STi ones are weight (STi one is cast iron) and the bracket. Sorry, beyond that, I'm looking for info as well as I just got the 4 pots (cast iron ones).
It's not the same caliper but it uses the same pad ad the 300zx and the 3000gt vr4.
So better pads are cheaper than oem. I recomend getting axis (SP?) or something semi metalic.

Becareful when using 300z calipers for pads. Depending on the year Z it had a different sized caliper. The TT's on UP to mid 91' Used aluminum 30mm calipers, where as the NA cars used aluminum 26mm ones. From Mid 91' on up the material switched over to cast iron, where the 30mm brakes were not available anymore. So be careful. Anyone know where I can get a set of these STi 4 pots? If you cant tell, I recently became a member of the Subaru family having came from the Nissan group..
Thanks guys

I dont know which caliper was on a gc8 i saw 1month ago. But it was Aluminum in color and it said Nissan. I think its off a 300z tt. You can sorce all hardware from your local nissan dealer.

The 4-pot 300ZX calipers DO NOT FIT SUBARU'S ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! The mounting is way off.
BUT....all the parts for the last 2 years('96-'97, IIRC) 300ZX TT(Z32) 4-pot calipers fit the Subaru non-Brembo 4-pot calipers...that includes the pads and shims and clips and the re-build kit....I would not use the stock, Nissan pads on an Impreza on the street....they take a bit much heat to work well when cold
