SPT or Perrin Springs?

I'm looking to make some very simple suspension changes to my 02 WRX; I love the ride and handling as they are, but I'd like to speed up my initial turn-in and remove some of the wheel hop I get on sharp corners (especially on an uneven surface).

I thought about getting the STP/STI/Eibach "performance spring" upgrade that is designed for the stock shocks; my dealer says he can install those in an hour ($60) and I've found them online for about $210. Has anyone upgraded to these springs? Considering that they are a dealership option, do they degrade the life of the stock struts?

I can get the Perrin springs for about the same price -- these have some great reviews, but I'm not sure. Do these lower the car enough to cause some scraping? Will the car handle at all off-road?
