anyone know about the recent release of STI pinks that are MY04 wagon specific?

I saw a post in the 'vendor for sale' section of nabisco about them but I haven't seen any other vedors carry them yet.

After reading posts on several site I have decided on the Tein S-techs. Will let you know how they turn out once I get them on.

These look like a good alternative- wagon specific rear springs (fronts are the same). Made for the 04's so you can use the revised tops in the rear. Spring rates appear to be conservative ~ 180/160ish- a good increase from, but not so much as to tax the oem struts.

The pics I saw show the springs pretty linear, similar to the Prodrive offering (the rates appear to be very close too).

There selling them for $230ish, better than the $300+ tag on most STi pink springs.

My birdie said 34N/29N, Jamie is saying 39N/34N- I hope she is right . If she is though, I'm afraid these would be a little out of the oem strut league- 223/194, perfect for the STi struts though!

My birdie has since changed his mind and is now sure they are 223/190. I came real close to ordering a set, but these would have to go on my STi wagon struts (v7) and would require a swap to the 04 rear hats. It's recently come to light that the v7 srut piston tops are quite different than the v8 ones and the new tops don't seat like they do w/ the v8 ones.

Soooo- I'm looking into 05 (JDM) struts- wagon specific, as they are now a inverted design like the STi ones have been. I'm going to try and get details on damping and piston diameter. If they are close to the STi ones, then this might be the route I go.

When Koni comes out w/ their 04+ inserts, that could be an option too.

So no easy spring/strut combo for MY04 WRX wagons? Like a STI/SPT kit or something. They seem to have those for 2004 WRX sedans though according to subaru.com. But nothing for MY04 WRX wagon except the springs yet.

Nothing yet (that I've been able to find)- I think the biggest problem is that they quit making the STi wagon, if we still ahd the GGB we'd have a lot more options.

For those looking for a milder spring that works w/ the oem strut- the Prodrives have finally hit the shore- there not wagon specific, but it seems w/ the v7 ones, wagon folks didn't have too much problem w/ fitment.
