Scoobymods instructions

Looked over the instructions and they are saying I need to disconnect my brake line from the caliper. Is this really necessary?? Can't I just disconnect it from the strut only? I REALLY would like to avoid messing with my brakes cause not too long ago I had SS lines installed and it was a PITA to get them bled properly so I just don't want to mess with brakes. I know on the AGX I need to cut out a piece of metal to fit the brake line through it but thats no big deal. Well thanks for any help.

Damn, I didn't know about cutting metal!? Sorry, I'm not sure about the brake lines, but I'm sure you'll get it. Post up here if you find any good tips you can share along the way.

I think what they mean is you disconnect the brake line to slide it through this hole. But I've heard from other people its easier to just cut a slot on the side of it so you can clip / or zip tie the brake line in the bracket, that way you don't mess with bleeding brakes. Anyone else who's done this have input?

I dought there is a difference cause I put in Tein flexs but I didnt have to do anything the rear lines had a place for them. but the front I had to zip tie so I did the same with the rear also and it has been fine since. good luck with the install

If you are removing the stock struts, you must either cut a notch out of the side of the metal flange (with the brake line running through it), or disconnect at the caliper- just to get the strut off. So, when going from stock to AGX's, you can either disconnect the lines and bleed the brakes, or cut a total of eight notches in the flanges. Personally, I found that disconnecting the lines wasn't too difficult, and (if you have 2 people) the bleeding wasn't a big deal. I'd rather not send sparks flying and hack into the struts I just paid hundreds of dollars for- but thats me.
