I was just installing the Whiteline 22 mm rear bar that I bought, and it only came with the bushings, not the brackets that hold them to the mounts. The stock brackets do not fit over the bushings to my surprise... The brackets shown in this DIY (https://www.i-club.com/forums/showth...ay+bar+bracket) look like they'd fit over the bushings I received as they fit between the ridges on the outside. My bracket fits over the bushing completely, interfering with these ridges.
Does anyone here (preferably in SF area) have extra compatible brackets lying around?

Hey Bill, I'll take a look through my pile. I know I came across some brackets. If not, you might want to give GST or one of the other local vendors a call and see if they have what you are looking for. You should be okay to drive the car without a rear sway bar. Best thing to do is to take the bracket and the bar in with you and they can see what fits.

Thanks Kevin, but I put the old bar back on last night since that's easy. I'll bring the new bushings with me when I go somewhere to try to find a bracket match...it's that obvious if it'll fit.

Yeah. When I first had my sways installed, I didn't have the right bushings, so I can to cut it to make them fit. Finally got around to getting the right sized ones. Only $15 or $20 for the pair. Not too bad.

I'd highly recommend getting whiteline's mounts or 04 and up rear sway mounts.
The 03 mounts are flimsy and with the upgraded bar it's only a matter of time before you break one.

Do the mounts come with bushing brackets? I planned on making my own mounts but still need to track down the right brackets.

Perrin bar owners?
Thanks Kevin. I may have to buy those bushings/brackets if I can't find any others. I found a couple of links that show what I have better. This link shows the stock bushings/brackets that I have on the bottom of page 4: http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/ima...arSwayBars.pdf
Picture #3 in the DIY link in my top post shows the bracket that should fit my new bar's bushings. Doesn't anyone have some lying around? Perrin owners??

I think the easiest thing to do is just get the right size bushing. That's the most cost-effective way. But what OneManArmy said is right. If you feel that you'll put the mounts to good use, that might be the better way to go.
I'll check for the brackets/mounts later when I get home.
