Really harsh ride...modded susp.

Hey I put on a set of Perrin springs and KYB GR2 shocks onto my 2002 WRX. I also aligned the car to spec. I am experiancing a very harsh ride now. I trimmed the bumpstops as per Perrin's instructions. Just wondering if this is typical of an almost 2 inch drop. That or if I mismatched my springs and shocks. ANy input is appreciated...Thanks.

Stiff springs = stiff ride. No way around it.

BAN SUVs is right, and the Perrin springs aren't even that stiff. they're progressive rate springs, so they should be stiffer the more the spring compresses -- the idea being that they get firmer when you need them to.

I just installed KYB GR2 struts and Eibach Prokit Springs last week, and the ride isn't very harsh at all. I love the set-up, and can't wait til i can save the $$$ for a better set-up!

I had KYB AGX's on my Talon and it was rough. That thing bounced down the road on the softest settings.

I didn't describe that correctly. I should have described it as being stiff. It didn't bounce, more hugged every bump and ripple in the road.
