Praxis pix
I just got back from a NASA event @ BeaveRun Raceway. I entered into the HPDE1 Friday morning. This is the start of getting being able to be a licensed driver in OLOA.
Saturday it was very rainy, being green at this & on a track for the 1st time; I had set the suspension to track stiffness. Since the track is not perfectly smooth there was a lot of hydro-planing through the dips.
I explained to a couple of the instructors about the Praxis suspension & they advised me to set the suspension soft + hard tires. This allowed the tires to stay on the track + didn't force 100% dependance on them in the turns. The body of the car pitching absorbes some of the energy.
Today, no rain, dry track, and I could tighten the suspension a lot. Between track & sport stiffness, again allowing for some of the uneveness of this particular track.
Ran at track heigth, dropped 2", the entire time.
Sat. eve. I had to go out Mobil 1 hunting (gotta love GPS & Walmart), so back to stock ht. to clear speed bumps.
Haven't found another "free" donut tank. I have seen them apart of an air compressor. $100+ seemed a bit much just to rob an air tank. "Tricked Tanks" are aluminum tanks that seem dimensionally identical to the supplied Praxis tank. That at least would cut down on the weight.
