Please recommend spring & struts for 06 STI
Hey everyone, I have been reading these forums for awhile but this is my first posting. I was hoping someone with more experience could give me some advice. I appreciate any help offered.
I have a stock 06 STI on BBS stock rims and tires. I have been wanting to lower it for some time, but don't know what to buy. I do not want to lose any handling or spend a huge sum of cash. If anyone out there could let me know what springs they recommend and maybe post a picture of their lowered car, that would be great. I also wanted to know if I should use the stock STI struts or replace those too. In the future I plan on buying rims and will probably stay with 17s; however, I have been thinking about getting 18s. Would that have any effect on my decision now?
Thanks for all you help!

You have 2 options for sti struts but dont go with your comment of dont want to spend a large sum of cash. Because you'll be spending 2k on spring strut combos. The prodrive spring strut kit and the ohlins struts with springs are the 2 options. So your pretty much stuck with just springs. Unless you find an option for bare struts and getting the mounting points welded on which I've seen only a few times on high dollar setups.
On 18's and even 17's you'll just have to decide how much tire you want to stuff in there, and how much work your willing to do to the body to get it to fit. That will determine what size wheels and tires you need.
