Please check your steering wheel!!!
Ok...I feel a little bit better about the crooked steering column thingy since I am not the only one but when I checked out the cars in the dealer's showroom (Tribeca, legacy GT, Outback, and several STis), their steering columns were all straight. I even measured each one just to be sure. That leads me to the conclusion that its a build quality issue. Hmmm...
^^^ Examine the same models, not other models, if you want valid comparisons. (Although I'm not sure why the STIs wouldn't display the same tilt.)
Anyhow, go have fun with your highly reliable car, and stop concerning yourself with something that has never been brought up as a mechanical issue! (I just hope you don't discover the subframe failure that commonly occurs after the break-in period.)
