Cool Pictures of My new brakes

Here they are...

Specs:
Caliper:
Type: The Brake Man "F4"
Pistons: 4 1.50" Pistons
Weight: 5.1Lbs
Structure: Forged Billet Aluminum with Steel C sections
Fluid Delivery: Dual Internal Transfer Tubes
Pad Size: 4 3/4"

Rotor:
Type: 2-Piece Cast Iron disc w/aluminum hat
Dimensions: 12.19"x.810"

The best part is they fit under the stock wheels, so I can put on the stockers in bad weather.

Did you get the rear kit too?
I am using The Brake Man #8 in the Front and will be using #62 on the rear. Except when I go to the track, when I will be using the #3 pads(1200 degree).
I am using The Brake Man 577 Degree Brake Fluid
Yep it has the steel lines included in the kit.
I did get the rear kit but I have not got around to putting it on yet.

The convoluted rotor is an option you choose you get the kit. The main reason for the convoluted rotor is weight reduction (although there is some advantage in the air tumble around the rotor). There are 3 rotor options for the WRX front kit. You can either get the one I chose which is very light and has good heat disapating ability, or a round rotor, which is best for road course guys, or a center drilled true convoluted rotor called the "Revolution" rotor, which is extremely light for drag and street guys. Here is a pic of the revolution rotor on a S2000. It is basically the same design as the Wave style rotors on Bikes.

Actually they are under $200 to replace. But they last forever. The rotor is made from steel, so they will hold up very well. They use these rotors on 80% of the sprint and midget race cars, and the teams are finding that they last around 4-5 seasons. That is amazing since many of the drivers ride their brakes even while they are on the accelerator to get the best track times.

I can already see the show-car bandwagon gearing up for this one. I bet in a year it's less than $150 for a new set once the volume of production gets pumped up.

Some people mentioned about show cars and these brakes, but I want to say that these are not designed for show. They are purpose-built for racing applications.
