Do you really want to cut stuff? I really wouldn't want to do that, but that's your call. I ran on stock struts on Eibach's for a while without any problems. The problem is when you go below 1.5", the more likely that the strut would just blow out so I didn't stay on the stock struts too long. I am currently running KYB AGX with the Perrin springs. Really a very nice ride. You may want to look at that if possible or even GR-2's. Good luck!
I'm interested in the Perrin springs as well, although the pictures I've seen with them installed look too low to me -- almost has that silly "slammed" look.
Do these make a car handle like complete crap on a rough surface or gravel?

Not bad at all actually. I like them and I am running 40 series Continentals. The KYB also soaks up the bumps pretty well. My Eibach was actually lower in the rear than the Perrins. The front is lower, but not by much.

Here's mine after the install. It got a little lower after a week so don't worry about the gap too much. The tires are probably thinner than what I should be running. 225/40/18

i ran them for a long time. no complaints here. really got rid of the wheel gap but didn't really seem like it sacrificed ground clearance.
meilers- I actually liked them better for off road driving. sure it was more harsh, but the car handled way better. i was very surprised and i took it through some pretty hard core off road torture. just make sure you have a skidplate as you do lose some clearance.
oh yeah, i was running them with stock struts and had a few different wheel/tire combos

Thanks for your comments, Ish... that looks nice, but with that severe of a drop I think my stock struts (which already have 36,000 miles on them) would be toast. I can't afford to do both springs and struts at the same time.
