I believe it is a pink wire coming out of the parking brake switch. The switch is the what turns on the Parking Brake light on the instrument panel. With the TT connected to the parking brake, the TT will shutdown if the parking brake is released. This in case someone trys to take off in the car while the TT is running the car.

It is a Pink wire, and it is really buried deep under the carpet on the passenger side. You will find a black connector on the end of it as well. If that makes it any easier to find.
