Outback Steel Lines

I bought a set of steel brake lines from Tire Rack that were supposed to fit my 2000 Outback Wagon. There were two problems. 1. The OEM rear lines are approx. 6" long and the Goodridge steel lines were about 15" long. It also looks like there should be two steel lines per wheel on the rear. 2. Although the front lines were the correct size, there was no way to bolt it onto the strut (as the OEM was). They would just hang. Tire Rack indicates that all they have and Goodridge says that's what they think should fit. Go figure. Needless to say, I sent them back for a refund.
Anyone have a similiar situation? or where I can get a hold of good steel lines that really do fit this car? I've tried just about all on-line stores. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
