new springs without struts=DEATH???

Will my stock struts die if I install my new springs? I really dont have $400-$600 to spend on new struts (Im broke after buying just the springs). But I want my car to be lower. Catch my drift? People have suggested it before but I would like everyones opinion.

**** I've been running on S-techs on blown stock struts for awhile now..depending on how low the springs will make your car, it will eventually lead to blown struts. I'm upgrading springs and struts next month and tring to get away from the S-techs. My car drives ok until i hit a bump at speed, bottoms out and doesn't sound good. but if your struts are not blown and still have life in them you should be fine for awhile.

128k on the struts? yeah they're worn out by now. Iono, just mount the springs on for now and save up for some struts.

yeah, I'd sat fu*k it and throw them on, shocks are already blown for sure. but I do hear blown shocks with lowering springs can lead to stressed and possibly crack or mess up your chasis, due to the fact of bottoming out and all that force being absorbed by your frame...

depending on how you drive of course...

+1, muster up some will power and leave those springs in the corner of the garage until you can do it all properly with the right parts.

But then again, I'm a fan of doing things right the first time with quality parts. But thats a view that some people don't agree with.

depending on what kind you want. you can buy KYB Gr2 for around $100 a piece, plus or minus some places you look online.. depends if you want adjustable or just oem replacement types...

this is definitly the way to go. But if you're like me then you have no patience to wait to put parts on. But I am slowly trying to learn to hold back and wait..
