New pads and SS lines
Alright, I've been researching some new pads and SS lines for my 02 WRX. I do some pretty spirited street driving with no plans for track days right now. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go with Goodridge SS lines. I haven't heard anything bad about them and they seem to be a good choice. For the pads, I think I'm going to go with Axxis Metal Masters. I've heard that the Ultimates are a little better, but they cost more, eat your rotors more, and they dust more. So, I'm going to go with Goodridge SS lines and Axxis Metal Masters pads. I'm also going to just get my stock rotors turned. How does this sound?
Thanks.

P.S. This is just a temperary setup until I get the STi 4 pots with Carbotech slotted rotors.

I used Goodridge SS lines, Motul RBF600 brake fluid ,Hawk HPS pads on my car and can honestly say that it made a big difference in pedal feel/ braking overall. I preferred the Hawk HPS over the Axxis pads due to the fact that Hawks dust less than Axxis pads. However, that doesn't mean Hawks are better, I would say that after driving cars w/ each pads, they both are about the same in respect to braking performance.

The best price I found for the Motul 600 brake fluid is www.suprastore.com at $11.95 each. Have to order it but was cheaper than other places I found.

That setup should be good for you. I did the same thing but went with Ultimates. I have dark wheels so the extra dusting is not a big issue for me. I used the Valvoline Synpower fluid its good stuff and at every parts store. It may not have the as high boiling point as Motul but it's so high that if I boil it I have bigger problems.
At the track I swap rotors for Cobaltfriction OEM replacements (cheap and very nice) and Carbotech Panther+ pads. The setup works for me and I don't feel like I need a BBK.
