Need help.Anyone with progress swaybar and kartboy links
Put on my swaybar and links and they don't seem to fit right. Put the links on the inside of the bar, like the picture from the swaybar instructions shows.(There is no way they can go on the outside.)Now the endlinks lean in on both sides. There not straight. Aren't they supposed to be straight? A picture of someone's setup would help a lot.

Or a picture of yours....
Do the links lean toward the inside or outside of the car? Kartboy links are actually shorter than stock ones so they require more streching of the bar to attach. That is how they (alone) improve handling response over stock links, by creating tension on the bar before it is introduced by the car.
I would think that is causing your problem. Try your stockers, or a different set of aftermarket ones that are the same size. Whiteline make some impressive stuff.
A better bar will make a worlds difference in handling when compared to better endlinks. Hope this helps.

^^Jeez, slap enought grease on those bushings??
Just kidding.
I think you should get some new links. You don't want them leaning when the car is at rest. I'm sure you can get away with it but IMO, better safe than sorry. The Whiteline bar is the same shape as stock, exactly, so it will fit on nearly any link. Also if you want a nice stiff bar, WL has an adjustable on from 22-24mm which may be stiffer than your bar now- how big is it? I've heard lots of stories about fitment problems with progress bars being too long or something like that. Good luck.

One more thought- try swithching the way the link faces- flip it over. Or you could switch the sides altogether and flip them over. It is possible that the bushing sticks out farther on one side than the other, giving you the clearance issue. Make sure the bolts go in like stock- nut on the inside, bolt goes in from the outside (see pic ^^)

I have a progress bar and kartboy endlinks, at 1st look they appear to be under stress, in a similar way described, but if I look in relation to the ground, they appear straight up and down...
don't know if that helps...

No, the bar connects to the outside of the bar, it doesn't look like it would fit on the inside... the pics on this tread show the bar on the inside... I have had mine for about 10,000 miles, the links look like they lean in a little, but it seems to work well.
Let me know what you come up with...
also, they look the same with stock endlinks (I just put the kartboys on)

Do you have a pic of your setup. My endlinks are on the inside of the swaybar. There is no way I can bend them to place them on the outside. It just won't work.Maybe they sent me the wrong swaybar.
Sorry, I don't have a camera...
- Mine came with instructions, did you get instructions with your progress sway bar? If not, when I get home I can check to see what that says.
this may help? http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread/t-23.html
If you look at these pics it shows the sway bar on the inside as well, but mine looks like they wouldn't fit on the inside...
look at the last pic at the bottom of that page, you see how the top of the endlink is leaning in -- that's how mine looks with the sway bar on the outside of the link, make sence?

Yes I got the instructions. It does not say with side to put the endlinks, but the picture shows the links on the inside of the bar.Thats how I installed them.
My links look the same way.SO I guess its OK.But my links are on the inside.
I will call Progress today and clear this up.
