My Subframe Project

So I have been out of work (or more like bored) for the past 2 weeks well I got a hair to do something so I started a subframe for my car. Here is the end result.

Before anyone starts nit picking it first I would like to say I come from the desert community where strenth comes before weight (even though it still weighs less than the stock subrframe but not by much). Also my hat goes off to those who are actually producing these, I know setting up a jig is easy but I definatly dont have any desire to build anymore than the one LOL.

The end result is a car that handles WAY better than stock, if I would recommend one its going to be do a replacement subframe, Its amazing how much better the car performs on pavement and in the dirt.

Its a pain in the *** isnt it I still cant believe how long it takes me to build one. Its looks so simple, but making all the mounting points, cutting and notching tubing and then tig'ing the damn thing together is too time consuming.

How much did it end up weighing?

I dont know the exact weight but its definatly less than the stock one as me and my dad both picked them up and he said the same thing. Its not much though. Hardest part was after making each bolt mount then connecting them just tacking it together under the car, then unbolting the whole thing and tigging it up (without warping it out)...
