More alignment stuff
Sooo, I installed the ALK and intended to do my own alignment by leveling my garage and using my "smart camber" tool and homemade toe gauge. But after the ALK install I was pooped so I took my car to a tire shop and handed them my rear camber adj bolts.
Before ALK at home my toe was practically zero, my front camber was;
Left, -.6 right, -.2
rear was
Left, -1.9 Right , -.1.6
I specified -1.0 camber all around and zero toe. After reading the "Training WRX" book that seemed like a good compromise for a daily driver and auto x six or seven times a year.
I got the car back and the readout said -.95 camber all around, zero toe. I got home and checked it and it was what they said except the rear camber was still too negative. I took it back and they checked it and sure enough, -1.3 both sides. I told them to leave it for now and I'll try it. Then I went to another shop and told them this story. Shop #2 said that you can measure camber, then roll the car off the rack, roll it back on and have a difference of .3 degrees. Seems kind of odd to me.
FYI 02 WRX sedan, ALK, Whiteline RSB with WL Links and WL HD Mounts, Rota Subz with 225-45-17 Azenis

Well, .3 degrees isn't very much, and they are measuring it oer less than 2 feet or so. I never heard that before but now that I think about it it does make sense.

Yea, good point, you would want to double check and make sure it's right before you sent joe blow on his way to ruin his tires because you goofed up an alignment. Anyway, my front alignment is where I want it, and I can fiddle around at home with the rear and experiment.
Oh yea, my point is this, does it seem to everybody else that your camber can change plus or minus .3 degrees?
