That's why the flat rate book at the dealership says EIGHT HOURS, even if you have a wagon and they don't need to yank the seat. I have a wagon and work at a dealer and it still was some serious bucks to get the kit in!

Good luck. Pace yourself, two beers to start and then a beer an hour until 12 pack is done. Repeat as necessary, shouldn't be THAT bad.

not only will the struts not be able to handle the springs, you'll run a higher risk of blowing a strut

EDIT: and yes, you are looking at a veeeery long install time.

?? Removing the seat is all of two bolts, it takes 4 minutes. I just did it to put in my rear sway bar. It took me longer to remove the seatbelt tensioner.

Thanks. Yeah, it's coming together... I couldn't be happier with the suspension mods. So time to move into the engine bay. Another long slow process, but I take my time, do the research and seldom have to go backward (but if I do, it is only one step ~ learned that the hard way over the years!).

Just sent out my Borla header to be ceramic coated, should be back next week. Step one...

for any of you who have prodrives, how long have you had them? im wondering if there is any truth to the prodrive springs causing th stock strut to blow out.

I have 25k on my stock struts with prodrives and an overall 55k on the stock struts themselves. No problems so far.

Most any spring that is lower than stock will provide more wear and tear on the stock strut. Prodrives provide a very conservative drop and therefore mate very well with the stock struts.

If you have more than 50K miles on your current struts I would seriously consider changing out the struts and springs at the same time. Why change only the springs out when in 10-15K miles you may have to replace the struts anyways???

Yes, the Whiteline G4s are an incredibly tempting upgrade, and not outrageously expensive. Getting those dialed in would be a lot of work, however...
