KONI insert re-valving?

Anyone here have experience with this? Do they have to go back to KONI or are there local vendors who can get this done? Also what's the going rate these days price wise per corner?

You'd have to a hold of Koni to find a shop that can do this for you. Maintain the warranty and stuff. If you give them your spring rates, vehicle and dampening preference they will recommend the proper valving for the strut. Are you going to stick with the Eibachs, or did you pick up something else?

well we have some choices> The Eibachs or some STI Version 7 springs we have sitting around here. Our set-up is geared toward Rally X so too STIFF is not an option..compresion dampening is probably what we're trying to fine tune the most...and maybe mess with the rebound as well (low speed and hi speed)

Stiffness doesn't tend to be your friend on dirt. I wouldn't think you'd want it to be too much lower either. I have no experience with dirt setups. bushido, daredevil, methodbuilt, psoper. Are a few of the screen names that come to mind when it comes to dirt setups.

FWIW niether of those springs are stiff enough to have the Koni's rebuilt just crank up the setting to add stiffness. Koni states: twice as firm at the full firm settings at the full soft setting

Actually we are looking to bring the dampening range down a bit so we CAN run mellow springs...for sure we will never run close to full stiff th way they are now.
