I think you'll have camber issues up front, since the front struts are slightly different on the sedans (longer "ears"). If you want to get any more than -.75 degrees camber you'll have to get camber plates.

This isn't my experience however, just stuff I've read.

They'll bolt up, but the ride height in the rear will increase and you will lose a lot of camber, possibly even getting positive camber. Camber bolts will help, or you could have a shop cut the upright flanges and reweld them 3/4" higher up the strut. That will lower the rear without affecting strut travel or wear.

this is actually wrong. the ride height will actually decrease as the wagon rear is heavier and the the sedan springs are shorter or have less captive length. The sagging butt will exaggerate the fender gap up front, making it a bit larger.

The springs are somewhat shorter but the struts are longer. And more importantly, camber is way out of whack. I've helped install sedan struts on a wagon before, it doesn't work out right.

BANSUVS - actually the length of the struts themselves are identical between wagon and sedan strut. This was a pic of an 04 sedan rear strut and an 02/03 rear wagon strut. The "ears" at the bottom of the front struts are different between the two, with the sedan's being longer, which leads to the camber problem.

It's not the length of travel that's the issue. It's the distance between the ears and the spring perch. With any given spring, the ride height is greater with sedan struts than with wagon struts.

Are you sure about that? I'll double check some struts this week. I'll report back.

If you have to get front camber plates in the end, get the noltec ones that have the spherical bearing isolated in silicone, or get adjustable plates that use a poly bushing instead of spherical bearings.

You WILL be happy...

Camber bolts should be enough for street camber. .5-1.0 degrees is plenty for normal driving.

I have this setup on my 04 wagon and mostly what people have stated here is true and accurate...

Firstly, the rear sags more because the sedan springs are shorter in the rear than wagon springs.
Secondly, you will probably not like the camber you will end up with in either the front or rear. I ended up with positive camber up front and about -.5 in the rear. I now have noltec adjustable tops up front and will be throwing camber bolts in the rear so that I can fix all my camber issues.

Wouldn't the ride height be greater with wagon struts?
