Installed s.techs and now have vibration??

Hey all,

I just installed a set of s-tech springs on my wrx wagon. The drop is perfect, but now there's a vibration i can feel throughout my drivetrain. At low speeds, i've noticed a slight rhythmic humm cruising, but it goes away when i brake. Above 60mph, it starts getting noticeable. Can a bad alignment be the culprit?? I've notice a bit of low-speed noise from the right-rear of the car. It sounds like a wheel bearing that's starting to go bad. Could I have messed up the wheel bearing when I installed the springs?? I torqued EVERYTHING to spec. BTW, it has only 2200 miles on it, so i don't think the tires are out of balance....

I'm going to get an alignment ASAP... so if you're in the Nor Cal area, plz reccomend a (cheap) place if possible.

Here are some pics since pics are always good:

I have S-Tech's on my 04....I'm thinking that it's probably your alignment. I got my car aligned right after I installed my springs and have no vibration problems.

Exactly....I would bet on your alignment too....I have S-Techs too, and I also got my alignment done the same day I did the install, and have never had any vibration issues.

+1 for Auto Innovations in Milpitas...they do excellent work and they know subie suspension. I think an alignment is about $40-45 or so IIRC. Someone correct me if I am wrong on the pricing.

thanks for the tips guys. I made an appointment at AI on saturday (i'm like 35-40 min away). the noise is more like a rubbing noise now, and it goes away when i brake.... i'm going to adjust the rear brake/parking brake assembly to see if i finaggled anything out of place when i was manuvering the knuckle back in place
